Simplex Manufacturing Changes Name to Simplex Aerospace

Dallas-Ft.Worth, TX, USA - February 10, 2012

Simplex Manufacturing Co., the world's leading supplier of helicopter aerial application equipment, announced that it has changed the company name to Simplex Aerospace. Simplex engineers,  certifies, and manufactures helicopter systems for the agriculture, energy, oil spill response and firefighting markets.

“We changed the name to more accurately reflect the nature of our company's aviation business, products and strategic direction, and in support of our expansion of product offerings into other areas of the aerospace industry” says Mark Zimmerman, President and CEO.

A clear example of the company's new direction is the recent development and certification of electric power line and wind turbine cleaning and de-icing systems for the Eurocopter AS350 and Bell 407. These products are part of the company's expansion into new aerospace market segments through the creation of innovative solutions to industry needs.

"In addition to the rotorcraft industry, there are a number of underserved fixed wing market niches the company is pursuing, and the name change is consistent with our growth and new market expansion activities" explained Larry Lichtenberger, Vice President of Sales & Marketing.

Simplex Aerospace will exhibit at Heli-Expo 2012 tradeshow in Dallas February 12-14 (Booth 6917).
